The forest light-railway circulates on a 32 km long line from May until end of September every day of the week and in winter-time it can be separately ordered.
In the surroundings 36 km of built-out bicycle-roads and further 80 km routes suitable for bicycle riding await for the admirers of riding. Additionally a go-kart field and fishing-lakes ensure active relaxation.
The Szécsisziget water-mill museum and the Buffalo reservation area only 10 km from Lenti offer an interesting attraction, while the most beautiful works of the folk pottery of the region can be wondered in the close village of Szentgyörgyvölgy. The similarly close Arboretum of Budafa demonstrates the rich repertory of the domestic flora for people interested in botanics.
Lenti can be found in the South-Western corner of Hungary in the valley of the river Kerka close to the Slovenian, Croatian and Austrian border. The region is located in the connection point of three ethnical regions (Őrség, Göcsej, Hetés). The downy character of comitat Zala, its richness in green areas is also typical for the surrounding of Lenti. The huge, almost unbroken forests have large attraction.
The geographic location of the city is favourable: On the road it can be reached on the passing line of the main road 75. Western from the city – 5 km – there is the international main road 86 guiding to the Adriatic (former “Roman” road). The motorway M7 is in a distance of 25 km and 60km the airport in Sármellék. The railway line Zalaegerszeg-Rédics also passes the city.
